Don Webster is a native Oklahoman whose interest in wildlife and the outdoors has greatly influenced his artwork. The serenade of nature called Webster to his carvings and sculpting. Because most of his career had been in the field of music, he produces an interweaving of the arts - music and sculpture. Collectors say flow and rhythm are captured in his bonzes.

He sculpts clay, but sometimes his process differs in that he will use woodcarvings as his model for the bronze editions. This combination of elements contributes to the fluidity of his style.

Webster earned his music degrees from Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma University. He studied sculpture at the University of Tulsa. Before becoming a full-time artist, he was a high school band director and a public school administrator.

The Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City showed his work in the National Academy of Western Art exhibition. Webster is also a member of the Society of Animal Artists. His pieces are in public and private collections in the United States, Canada and Europe.
