Richard Mocco's Profile

Richard was born in Tenafly, New Jersey and attended the highly respected Pratt Institute for hi art education. He has both a B.F.A and an M.F.A. Successfully pursuing a career in education Richard's expertise ranged from jewelry design to sculpture to painting and he was sought after by many art Centers including his Alma Mater, Pratt Institute.

Over the years his art has been shown nationwide, from the famous Bloomingdales and Metzer-Krasnow gallery in New York City, to the popular Pacific States Crafts Fair in San Francisco.

As he is extremely versatile, Richard is sought after by architects, developers and resorts. He is as comfortable with fine art, which he defines as, "a piece designed for contemplation, not for use", as he is designing and building an entry gate or front door. His art in its many forms is as unique and one-of-a-kind as is the man.
